Flowering Plant

Moraea polystachya is an attractive bulbous perennial native to Southern Africa, known commonly as Butterfly Iris, Cape Blue Tulip, or Peacock Flower. It produces elegant iris-like flowers in shades of blue, violet, or lavender with yellow nectar guides that stand out against slender foliage. Adapted to well-drained soils and sunny to partly shaded positions, Moraea adds exotic color and form to rock gardens, borders, and container plantings. Drought tolerant once established, it offers long-lasting seasonal blooms and pollinator appeal.
